Are you looking for a place to plug-in your guitar? Or your voice? We are always looking for talented, spirit-led, authentic worshippers to help us lead our community in worship! Could that be you? If you sing or play an instrument, consider our Bridge Team.

The Bridge Team is made up of vocalists and instrumentalists whose hearts are turned, not towards performance, but towards worship. We define worship as ‘turning our heart’s affection and our mind’s attention to God, for who He is and what He has done.” The Bridge Team exists to help connect our community and our congregation with the Creator. It is our vision that each Bridge member will be able to plug into different aspects of worship by serving as a vocalist, choral member, instrumentalist, etc. We exist to (1) exhibit our worship and adoration of The Father within our church worship gatherings, as well as in our daily, public lives, (2) to enhance the ministry of the church as we work together to build an authentic, creative, and relevant worship environment for our community, and (3) to equip worship leaders with the theological and practical tools necessary to lead a congregation with authority and humility.

How Do I Get Involved?

We periodically host our Worship Cafe' in the worship center, from 7-9 p.m. It’s a great, informal time to bring your instrument/voice and come sit in and worship with us. Get to know us and our heart for worship. Kick the tires. Test the waters. No strings attached. Think of this as Step 1. You can contact the church office or send an email to the address at the bottom to find out about the next upcoming Worship Cafe'.

Step 2: If you feel God leading you to pursue joining the Bridge Team, you’ll need to fill out this Info Form and bring it with you, return it to the church office or email it to bydesign@fbcpville.org.

Step 3: You’ll be contacted to try to set up a time to come meet some of the worship team. Typically, we’ll spend about 30 minutes talking and hanging out so you can get to know us (and vice versa) as well as spend some informal time singing and/playing together. We want to share our heart with you and what it means to serve as a ‘lead worshipper’. We’ll end by praying over you and giving you some information to take home such as teaching info on worship, current songs that are in heavy rotation, etc., before dismissing.

Step 4: You’ll receive a phone call in the next few days and will be asked to briefly share your story of how you came to Christ and why you desire to serve in the worship ministry.You'll also get a Bridge Team vocal and/or instrumental response of (a) You are ready to go, (b) You have potential and we want to develop it, or (c) this is not your primary area of gifting and if we let you serve here, we would be robbing the body of your real area of giftedness (and we want to help you find your primary area of giftedness).
