MISSION WORK

See Operation Christmas Child

This is a project our church is very involved in every year.  In fact, we work on it year around.  Many children all around the world receive a shoe box gift full of "things," but most of all they receive a "Gift of Love" as they are told about Jesus.

We link arms with Samaritan's Purse who directs the overall project.

Members on Mission:   Kampala, Uganda

As a young girl Sara Hamilton knew that God was calling her into foreign missions work.  She has spent the past several summers in Kampala, Uganda working in an orphanage, doing medical missions and ministering to families and children in this war-torn country. She received her RN degree from The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in May 2009.   During a mission trip to Uganda, Sara heard God's call to open an orphanage in Kampala.  She returned home to Texas in September 2009 to set up a non-profit organization called Rafiki Africa Ministries.  In January 2010 Sara returned to Uganda where she rented Rafiki's first home and became "Mama Sara" to several destitute children.  The ministry continues to grow and in May 2010 they moved into a larger home.  God has blessed Sara with a very specific vision for His work and she is seeking to follow His vision.
